One side features an illustration of an object or animal alongside the word, while the other side shows a number and emphasises the colour of that object or animal. For example; on the "pig" card, the back of the card features the number "5", an illustration of "five pink pigs" and the background colour is a block pink. Each card also features a "Spot the odd one out activity" which children will enjoy. The handy instruction card provides lots of ideas for how to use the cards and keep children occupied, such as "Ask questions about the pictures to develop your child's imagination – "Who lives in the farmhouse?" or "Where might you see a scarecrow?"".
