One day the father went to beg for alms, leaving the child alone with the mongoose. When the wife came back home after buying vegetables, she saw the mongoose's mouth full of red blood. She thought that the mongoose has killed his baby but on going inside, she found a dead snake that the mongoose had killed with his mouth to protect the baby. Feeling guilty, she went out to look for the mongoose, only to find out that he was dead due to the poison from the snake.

The second story-

Is about a foolish monkey that the king had kept as a pet for him. The monkey was allowed to enter the king’s bedroom and had all the privileges. One day, while guarding the king who was asleep, the monkey says a fly that was buzzing around in the room, after swaying her away, she used to come back again., so the monkey started to attack her with a sword. Then the fly came and sat on the king’s chest. The monkey attacked it again with the sword on the king’s chest. It didn’t harm the fly at all, instead, the king was severely wounded.
