Bheema The Sleepyhead – Pratham Level 1 – “Bheema, The Sleepyhead” by Kiran Kasturia, introduces children to Bheema, a donkey, who can’t wake up early. He keeps getting scolded by the washerman which makes him sad. He asks all his friends to help him wake up early in the morning. From Gauri the Cow to Kalu the Crow, everyone tries to wake him up but in vain. Bheema progressively becomes sadder that his problem seems to be unsolvable. Will he ever wake up early enough?
