Keya’s Day At The Beach : “Keya’s Dat At The Beach” by Radha Rangarajan is a sunny story with brilliant illustrations by Lavanya Naidu. The story introduces us to a Soldier Crab, Keya. It’s Keya’s first day out of her burrow and her mother has a lot to introduce to her. While Keya is excited about the wide ocean her mother seems interested in other things. On her way around she meets another Soldier Crab who marches on “Left…Right…Left”, then she encounters a crab with lots of eyes, then one with a magnificent claw. Her mother tells us all about the crabs and creatures along the way until it’s time to go back home to the burrow.
