Panchatantra Lazy Man & his Dream/Cap Seller & Monkeys is another book from the Panchatantra 2in1 series for children, which contains 2 awesome tales for the children to read and enjoy. The tales have important values to teach children and are moral-based. Which will in turn help them gain important lessons and stay informed at an early age.
This book, in specific, contains 2 amazing stories. The first one is about a poor brahmin who didn’t have resources to even buy food and used to beg for the same. He used to store that food collected by him from different people, in an earthen pot. One day he went to sleep during the day and began to dream. He was dreaming of a life where he was very rich and had all the resources to feed him and his family. While sleeping he started moving his legs, and that broke his earthen pot. He realized that it was just a dream, after waking up! And now, his pot was also broken, which was full of food!
The second story is about-
A cap seller who went and slept under a tree, keeping the bag full of caps on his side. Suddenly, the naughty monkeys came down from the tree and stole his bag full of caps and then climbed up the tree again. The cap seller after waking up finds that his caps were with the monkeys. Then he realized that the monkeys were imitating him. So he got an idea where he threw his cap on the ground, and the monkeys did the same thing. With this, he got all his caps back and the clever cap seller’s plan worked out! These stories are fun and have amazing moral lessons for children to learn.
