Chiu’s Power : “Chiu’s Power” by Shrujana Shridhar, is a delightful book. With simple language and colourful illustrations it introduces children to Chiu. Chiu seems to have magical powers. She sees things others cannot. She looks at a blackboard and sees not letters but fishes and her bottle looks a lot like a rocket. She goes to the eye doctor with her Ajji and after that day Chiu loses her magical powers. All the fishes and rockets disappear everything appears just as it seems to others. What happened when Chiu visits the eye doctor?
