Hippo is a brilliant ballerina, Ostrich is a sensational skater and Lion is a dazzling dancer. Poor Giraffe can’t seem to learn any of these talents. This book has a hardcover with regular paper pages inside. The book is quite large in size, so the pictures too are of a very good size. The illustrations are very pleasing to the eyes and quite funny too. Owl one day asks Giraffe if she has a hobby. When Giraffe replies in the negative, Owl suggests she explore different options by joining the other animals. Kids will have a good laugh while reading this story as each animal displays their different talents. Along the way Giraffe realizes that though she can’t replicate the talents of the other animals, she has many other skills which make her a fantastic dancer and that’s what her hidden talent is.
This series of books deals with feelings children develop of underconfidence and confusion over finding their true identity.
